Investing in People
Capito is proud to be recognised as an Investor In People (IIP) for over 16 years and delighted to have had our Bronze status reconfirmed in 2017.
In addition this year, we are delighted to have been recognised for the work we do with young people and have been awarded the new Silver Investors in Young People (IIYP) accreditation.
Through our active involvement in several programmes, including West Lothian Council’s StepsN2Work Programme, Santander Universities SME Internship Programme and West Lothian Council’s Work Experience Programme, we are able to take on a wide variety of people at all stages of their education and careers, helping to develop their skills and abilities. We have even been able to offer permanent employment to a number of individuals. See more about our current and more recent trainees below.
Tiegan joined Capito as an Admin Assistant in April 2016 through West Lothian Council’s StepsN2Work scheme. She is thoroughly enjoying working here and has already gained some very valuable experience.

Tiegan wishes to gain more qualifications in Business and Administration. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, friends and boyfriend and likes to experience new things.
Caitlin joined Capito in 2012 as an Office Admin Apprentice through the StepsN2Work programme. After then going on to complete a Business and Administration Apprenticeship, Caitlin was offered a permanent role and provides support to our Operations and Administration teams.
Connor worked at Capito as a Warehouse Operative Trainee through the Access2Employment scheme, run by West Lothian Council. Connor really enjoyed his job and the opportunities it gave him.
“Everyone is really friendly and welcoming. The whole place is organised very well, making it a really great experience. My organisational and communication skills have improved a lot”.
Marketing Intern Profile - Eilidh Turnbull
Eilidh worked with Capito for 16 weeks through the Santander Universities SME Internship Programme. This gave her experience of Event Management, Website management, Web Analytics and SEO, Fundraising, Professional Social Media, Image editing, Content creation and Campaign Management.
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Capito. Working with a SME business has allowed me to gain much more valuable experience than I believe I would have obtained from a large corporation. I was given a lot of responsibility, I took part in important meetings and all my contributions were greatly valued. I always had the opportunity to voice my opinion and I found this very rewarding."

In October 2016 we once again took part in Byte Night, the business & technology industry sleep-out in aid of youth homeless, with funds raised going to Action for Children Scotland. We're pleased to announce that we raised £1545.32 for the charity last year.

Previous charitable work
Capito has supported and actively engaged in raising funds for a number of charities over the years. We have raised in excess of £10,000 for Leukaemia Research, Cancer Research UK, Riverkids, Little Hearts Matter, NSPCC and Macmillan Cancer.
Capito cares about the environment and we are fully WEEE (Waste Electrical Electronic Equipment) compliant, which means that we are able to provide a complete disposal service as part of any deployment programme you undertake with us.
