As we approach the end of the year, it's a good time to reflect on the activities and projects we planned to have completed this year and which ones we've had to move into 2017.

However, there is still enough time to put certain activities in place and which you shouldn't put off to next year, especially if it means you can save money for your organisation.

One such area is Microsoft's on-premise software and and Cloud services.

If you plan to purchase any such services in 2017, you can make considerable savings if you act now.

With £Sterling pricing going up by up to 22% within the EU/EFTA region from 1st January 2017, you can lock in 2016 pricing if you purchase before the end of December.

Another area to look at for 2017, is Windows 10 and Office 365.

There are already many good business reasons to migrate to Windows 10 and Office 365. However, with the recent announcements at the Microsoft Ignite conference, there is even more reason to put your migration plans in place.

Additional security features

To help protect your corporate data and combat the ever increasing and more challenging cyber attacks in existence today, businesses will be able to get the Secure Productive Enterprise (SPE) with Windows 10 Enterprise, Office 365, and Enterprise Mobility + Security (EMS) which can be deployed on either on-premise or in the Cloud.

In addition to the new Windows Defender Application Guard with Microsoft Edge and the expansion of Microsoft's Advanced Threat Protection technology across Windows 10 Enterprise and Office 365, you'll also have complete protection across endpoints in the Cloud. So, there's more reason than ever to make the move.
