Capito Finalists in GO Awards Scotland 2020/21

We are delighted to announce that Capito Ltd have been selected as finalists in two categories at the GO Awards Scotland 2020/21.

We are proud to have been shortlisted in the following categories at Scotland’s leading public procurement excellence awards:

  • COVID-19 Outstanding Response Award - Private Sector Organisations
  • Social Value

The COVID-19 Response Award recognises the outstanding work and achievements of individuals, teams and organisations in dealing with the Coronavirus pandemic, while the Social Value Award recognises the crucial role that public procurement across the UK can play in delivering better social outcomes through the procurement function.

Capito's Managing Director Mark Gibson said:

Capito launched an initiative in collaboration with HP to re-purpose unused hardware from their customer bases by collecting, securely data wiping, and provisioning IT equipment which was no longer required and re-deploy the devices to frontline services such as the NHS, Education bodies and emergency services.

This initiative was free of charge to all customers as Capito recognise the important work these bodies deliver during the COVID-19 pandemic. Some of the organisations who benefited from this initiative were Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, Ayrshire Hospice, Dumfries and Galloway College, the John O’Byrne Foundation, and the Manda Centre, to name a few.

This initiative has enabled people recovering from trauma to continue accessing counselling remotely, supported the education sector whilst a blended learning model is adopted, enabled agile working and/or training for front line emergency services workers, and also supported children with their education whilst in hospital.

I am very proud of how our team has pulled together to help public sector and charitable organisations in need, and how this in turn has helped the most vulnerable in our community.

We are thrilled to have our efforts officially recognised by making the shortlist and would also like to congratulate all of the other finalists.
