Team Capito supports Cash for Kids Clothing Drive
Ahead of Global Recycling Day on March 18th, Capito Ltd took part in the Cash for Kids Clothing Drive to encourage eco-friendly behaviour.
Team Capito collected a whopping 101kg of clothing to be donated to those less privileged than us, while also saving it from going to landfill unnecessarily.
Around 1.75 million tonnes of clothing waste is produced in the UK every year, and about 1.2 million tonnes of this is sent unnecessarily to landfill.
For every tonne collected, Cash for Kids receive £400 to help them continue their support for disadvantaged children.
Due to the success of the clothing drive, we are looking into having a clothing donation bin installed on site to support this initiative on a permanent basis.
