Employee Spotlight: Innes Birks
As part of our Employee Spotlight series, here's your chance to get to know Innes Birks, our End User Computing Technical Manager.
Innes officially joined Capito in October 2007, which means he is celebrating 15 years with us this year, although he has been a vital member of the team for even longer than that, having initially joined us as a contractor around 2005.
As our End User Computing Technical Manager, Innes' specific duties include supporting customers' imaging environments, troubleshooting any technical issues raised, managing build room engineers, and dealing with new hardware, images and BIOS configurations.
He always strives to stay ahead of technology through continuous learning and is constantly researching potential areas for service improvements.
Innes is also heavily involved with one-off customer projects for bulk imaging and mass deployments, giving technical input at scale.
Innes' favourite thing about working at Capito is his workmates - as he puts it: "the people make the company". He finds that everyone is friendly and willing to share their knowledge and expertise with colleagues across departments.

When not working on making our build room even better, Innes can often be found playing guitar (mainly classical) or reading science-fantasy.
In addition, he and his wife occasionally foster cats.

Innes is well-known within Capito and beyond for being an excellent photographer.
Not only has he won several amateur contests over the past few years but he has also had some work exhibited too.
