Pure positioned as Leader, Gartner Magic Quadrant
Pure Storage has improved its position within the Leaders quadrant of the July 2018 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Solid-State Arrays compared to the previous year. Pure is positioned furthest to the right on the completeness of vision axis and highest on the ability to execute axis in the Leaders quadrant.
Over the past year, Pure Storage has continued to innovate and push boundaries. In May 2018 at its third annual user conference, Pure//Accelerate, the company unveiled its vision for the future of infrastructure design – a Data Centric Architecture. Data Centric Architecture keeps applications in place while technology is built around it, and fundamentally transforms data centre design with the data as its core element.
The new FlashArray//X product line is the first family of all-flash arrays purpose-built for Shared Accelerated Storage. The all-NVMe FlashArray//X family makes everything faster – databases, virtualised environments, test/dev initiatives and web-scale applications – at no additional cost.
With the industry-first Evergreen TM Storage Service (ES2) – also announced at Pure//Accelerate – customers can leverage a cloud-like consumption model, powered by FlashArray, for on-premises storage. Additional new benefits of the Evergreen Storage program were introduced this year to simplify capacity requirements and extend Pure’s existing Right-Size Guarantee with every capacity expansion.
In March 2018, the company launched AIRI TM, the industry’s first integrated AI-ready infrastructure for deploying deep learning at scale. Built on Pure Storage FlashBlade and NVIDIA DGX1, AIRI makes AI-at-scale simple and accessible for all enterprises. With use cases across genomics, machine learning, AI, IoT and many more, FlashBlade – and now AIRI – power today’s most complex workloads and enables tomorrow’s world-changing innovations.
