Capito has a wide range of satisfied customers from across many different sectors. We deliver a broad range of IT Infrastructure and Virtualisation solutions to both commercial and public sector organisations.
Take a look at just some of the projects we have worked on with our customers.
Delivering a seamless user experience
Scotland’s Law Firm of the Year 2016, Harper Macleod, needed to deliver efficient Microsoft Windows workspaces to its Partners and staff, and embarked on a large project to deliver a new desktop – physical, virtual and mobile – to provide users with the tools they need to work in the most efficient and secure manner possible.
Supported by Capito, the firm evaluated several solutions and ProfileUnity User Environment Management software from Liquidware Labs was selected because of its ability to provide robust profile, policy, and user data management. As a result, login times have been dramatically reduced.

IT Infrastructure planning
The Virtualisation team, now at Capito, was commissioned to design and produce a plan showing how the VMware platform could be utilised to relocate SEPA’s production data centre to their new building with the least disruption to the organisation's operations.
SEPA desired the least disruptive method to move their complete IT infrastructure whilst minimising operational impact to the business. The team at Capito delivered beyond expectations within agreed timescales and on budget.
Desktop Virtualisation project
To help the former Clydebank college meet their strict carbon emission target, the college carefully selected Capito's Virtualisation team to carry out their virtualisation desktop project.
Following a Proof of Concept (PoC) using VMware View, IBM hardware and Devon IT thin client units, the team designed the system to be able to handle up to 320 concurrent desktops, enabling the college to grow their VDI estate at phased points.
Capito continues to support the system for the now West College Scotland.
Enabling scalability for NHS NSS
In order to meet NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) requirements to procure a Hosted Desktop Solution (HDS) that would deliver a desktop service to as many staff as possible as well as the ability for users to continue working from any remote NHS connected location or from home, the Virtualisation team now at Capito adopted a 'Block and Pod' approach to deliver a VMware View 4.6 implementation which provided virtual desktops to over 2000 virtual desktops.
This solution also enabled NHS NSS to offer the desktop service to NHS Scotland trusts and associated health groups that they provide procurement and finance services to, thereby offering potential cost savings to existing service users.
